Tells a Story

We started The Loomward because we believed the world needed more slowness — more intention — more beauty made by human hands.

How It All Began

In 2019, founder Clara Ashworth sat at her grandmother's old floor loom in a farmhouse in Vermont and wove her first scarf. It took three days. It was imperfect, beautiful, and alive in a way that no machine-made cloth ever could be.

She started gifting these pieces to friends. They cried. They asked where to buy more. She couldn't find a place that honored this kind of craftsmanship — so she built one.

The Loomward launched with 8 items made in a 400 sq ft studio. Today, we work with over 30 artisans across the country — from wool weavers in Vermont to indigo dyers in New Mexico — and every single item is made by hand.

We only accept UK Gift Cards because we want every purchase to feel like a celebration. Your Macy's gift was given with love — spend it on something that was made with love.

From Raw Fiber to Your Hands

01

Fiber Sourcing

We source only natural, ethically-raised fibers — organic cotton, merino wool, Belgian linen, mulberry silk. No synthetics, ever.

02

Natural Dyeing

Many of our pieces are hand-dyed using plant-based and traditional dye methods — indigo vats, botanical extracts, mineral pigments.

03

Hand Crafting

Each piece is woven, knitted, crocheted, or stitched by skilled artisans. Some items take days or even weeks to complete.

04

Quality & Care

Every item is inspected, tagged, and packaged in recycled tissue paper. It arrives like a gift — because it is one.
